Accessibility

To make our website as accessible as possible is one of the main goals of our activities. We want to enable as many browsers as possible to display our website without problems. Usability is more important for us than design.

Code

The W3C has developed some criteria, how to write modern website codel. Not all modern browsers respect all of these criteria. That is one reason because websites look different in different browsers. There are services which check the code of a website if it matches the W3C-criteria. If a website passes the tests it is calles "valid". But that is no guarantee the website looks the same in all browsers.

Our website is not 100% valid. One of the reasons is that we use technics that are (not yet) part of the W3C-criteria, but increase the accessibility of websites.

One design for all

Our website performs on many devices. We have only one design for desktops and mobile devices (smartphones, tablets). We only use technics which have a basic support on all of these devices. Some minor restrictions are seen on devices, that do not support commonly used technics or data formats by default and descision of the manufacturer.

The contrasty design of the website should increase the readability.

Multilingual

Our website is multilingual. The content is designed and written to get quick access to it and for an easy understanding. Regards to content is our benchmark.
